Can we have a drum roll please…? We can exclusively reveal that Bianca Brandolini D’Adda will be the Cartier Polo special guest.

The gorgeous Brazilian model and socialite is not only attending the prestigious polo event but will also star in an exclusive fashion shoot for Emirates Woman‘s January issue.

The prestigious International Dubai Polo Challenge will take place at Desert Palm Polo Club from December 8 to 12, with Cartier sponsoring the highly-anticipated final.

Played under the patronage of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, four international teams, featuring players from the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Europe and Argentina, will be playing a week of league matches in a bid to reach Saturday’s final and win a coveted Cartier watch.

As well as this being a first-time visit to the Dubai Cartier Dubai Polo Challenge for Bianca, the event will also see two of Dubai’s leading polo playing families – the Albwardys and the Al Habtoors – teaming up together in one team for the first time in the tournament’s 10-year history.

But back to Bianca. Born to Count Ruy and Countess Georgina Brandolini d’Adda, Bianca is of noble heritage. Her grandfather Brando came from a noble Venetian family with its own palazzo on the Grand Canal, while her grandmother Cristiana is a sister of the late Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli, whose grandson, Lapo Elkann is now dating Bianca.

If you think she looks familiar, you are right, Bianca can not only be spotted frequently the front row at major fashion events, in particular Giambattista Valli and Fendi, but she also hob nobs with the who’s who of high society. She’s best friends with Olivia Palermo and her mum was a muse to Valentino. Bianca herself has been the face of Dolce & Gabbana, she’s a Cartier ambassador – she is the star of the latest campaign – and has also collaborated with jewellery Amsterdam Sauer. As far as style credentials go Bianca Brandolini D’Adda is pretty big time. We can’t wait to see what fashion and charm she brings with her to Dubai.
