The King of Couture put on quite a display with his Autumn/Winter 2017 collection, so we’ve rounded up the highlights…
You can always rely on Elie Saab to provide the kind of gowns you’re still dreaming of days later, and the Lebanese label’s latest collection is no exception.
Saab presented his Autumn/Winter 17 collection on Saturday at Paris’ Grand Palais, with a host of top models and show goers in attendance – including Hailey Baldwin, Sara Sampaio, Olivia Palermo and Dubai-based blogger Karen Wazen Bakhazi.
Inspired by the romantic ballet Giselle, Saab wowed with a collection of glitzy, dark-spirited evening dresses with hints of sporty and streetwear elements.
From the front-rowers to the must-have accessories, here’s everything you need to know about what happened on the day…
The top runway looks
This one-armed velvet opera cloak, sitting atop a feather-embellished gown, definitely caught our eye coming down the catwalk.
This ballet dancer-pink gown, featuring delicate ruffles and cinched at the waist with a velvet belt, is going straight on our Pinterest board.
A deep purple jumpsuit features delicate lace sleeves tied with velvet ribbons.
Horizontal lace inserts put the drama into the back.
The hair and makeup
Soft sultry eyes and nude lips complemented the dark romantic mood.
Hair was pulled back into a low bun with just the right amount of volume, while a studded alice band created a truly ethereal look. We’re seeing this look saving us on ‘can’t be bothered to wash our hair’ workday mornings…
Dubai-based blogger Karen Wazen Bakhazi attended the show in Paris, dressed in a gold star-embellished jacket and skirt by Saab (natch).
Brazilian blogger Helena Bordon teamed her starry sequinned Saab top with skinnies and knee-high boots.
Style icon Olivia Palermo sat FROW with Spanish actress Nieves Alvarez.
Between these and the Saab gown Emma Watson donned for her Beauty and the Beast press tour last week, we can feel our credit cards quaking…
