Red carpet vibes

This week Emirates Woman hosted its Woman of the Year awards at a glitzy Studio 54 themed event in JBR’s five star Rixos Premium hotel in Dubai. The awards celebrated the achievements of women across the region, with eight exceptional women being awarded trophies on the night.

Guests enjoyed live music, an a la carte dinner, along with  pop up activities including a photo booth a stand by Jean Paul Gaultier and a gift bag with treats from brands like Stefaniamode.com, George Jensen, Trevor Sorbie, No.7,  Bioderma, Aldo, Desigual, Parfois, Bo concept and Rebecca Minkoff.

The event was sponsored by Vhernier, Facebook and Georg Jensen. 

Luxury jewellery brand Vhernier was the lead sponsor for the event, and also sponsored the Arts & Culture category. Meanwhile luxury jewellery brand Georg Jensen sponsored the Humanitarian category and social media giant Facebook partnered with Emirates Woman for the #SheMeansBusiness category.

Achievers award – Alisha Moopen – executive director of Aster DM Healthcare

Young Talent award – Alia Al Neyadi – the first Emirati ballerina

#SheMeansBusiness award – Dina Ghandour – founder of yApparel

Humanitarian award – Dr Mai Al Jaber – acting medical director and public health medicine specialist at Healthpoint Abu Dhabi

Visionaries award – Kamilla Omarzay – founder of The Snack Society

Lifetime achievement award – Patricia Millns – Artist

Arts & Culture award – Batool Jafri – Mixed Media Visual Artist
