Representing the Middle East at LFW
Emerging Egyptian label Three Fifty Nine recently debuted their S/S 2019 collection at London Fashion Week.
The launch is the most recent success for the brand, following its founder Egyptian-born designer Marwa Sayed winning the prestigious Fashion Showcase competition in August.
The competition invites emerging designers to submit their work. Organized by Dubai Design and FAD Institute of Luxury, Fashion & Style, the winner is selected to unveil their collection at LFW’s Fashion Scout London.

“I’m thrilled to have been selected as the winner of DDFC X FAD Dubai Fashion Scout London,” she said at the time. “It’s an incredible platform for emerging designers to present their collections and I’m overjoyed to be among the designers showcasing at the renowned event. It’s a dream come true.”
Marwa paid tribute to the Dubai Design & Fashion Council’s ongoing support before her first international appearance. “It’s amazing to be here – there’s so much energy,” she told Arab News. “I’m really looking forward to the feedback. DDFC and FAD are building an eco-system for all designers – it’s amazing what they are doing for the industry.”
Three Fifty Nine’s motto centres on how “perfection is overrated”. Sayed explained that label’s name derives from how it’s one degree less than the common 360 that “symbolizes perfection”.
This marks the first time that an Egyptian label has been selected to showcase at LFW via Fashion Scout. The founder of FAD was understandably excited about the milestone: “This is a young designer with a capacity to have both regional and global reach…I think she is going to do a fabulous job,” Shivang Dhruva said.
Fashion Scout has been credited with launching the careers of fashion designers Peter Pilotto, David Koma and Eudon Choi in recent years.
Marwa is definitely one to watch.
