Excuse us while we imagine an entirely different life for ourselves, where dressing like this is practical.
Another week, another reason to love the designers of the Middle East. You won’t be at all shocked to hear that this round of red carpet triumphs comes courtesy of Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad. There’s a reason Hollywood stars turn to these two Lebanese designers again and again.
Join us for a look at Jaime King, Jessica Chastain and Rita Ora’s gorgeous looks.

First up is model and actress King arriving at a Hollywood Foreign Press Association even celebrating next year’s Golden Globes.
Can you think of a better dress to wear to an outdoor wedding? No, you cannot. The delicate colour scheme, the velvet straps and the generous floral print make this tea-length number elegant, youthful and romantic. King looks stunning – extra points for those waves.
Also catching our eyes in Elie Saab was actress Jessica Chastain.
This couldn’t be more different from King’s number, and yet it works. Saab has the range. We’ll always love a bit of sparkle, and that daring high slit adds some extra drama. Just right for a Los Angeles film gala.
Speaking of extra, here’s Rita Ora in Zuhair Murad…
Sheer, backless, bejewelled and be-feathered, this is what Project Runway‘s Tim Gunn would call “a lot of look.” Ora clearly decided to pull out all the stops with this one.
We love it, though. Murad is your man when you want to turn it up to 11, and Ora looks incredible.
As per, check back here for more Middle East fashion moments as they go down.
