Apologises if we’ve been heavy on the Ed Sheeran front lately but boy, the singer just keeps giving us material we want to share. First we revealed he was quitting showbiz, then we shared snapshots of him and rumoured beau Nicole Scherzinger now it’s reported he will be the wedding singer at Courtney Cox’s wedding.
Finding the right entertainment for your Big Day can be tricky, but for soon-to-be-newly-weds Courtney Cox and Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid there was only one option– Ed Sheeran, who was instrumental in introducing the pair back in late 2013.
The Friends star said in a recent statement to The Sun: “We’re certainly grateful to Ed for introducing us. I can’t imagine him not playing something at the wedding.”
There’s no doubt that the British star will even hesitate to serenade his pals. Ed has been a close friends with Courtney for a few years now. In fact, when Ed moved to Malibu to write his album he stayed at the Friends actress’s house, rent-free.
Ed confirmed in an interview: “There was no rent but I made the bed and cups of tea and things like that. If you’re staying at your friend’s house, you should treat it like your own. Well, actually, that’s a lie – because I don’t make my own bed at home.”
It seems the Give Me Love singer is somewhat of a go-to man these days for celebrity lovers, with Courtney and Johnny not being the first to take advantage of the crooners romantic style.
As well as recently singing at Ronan and Storm Keating’s Scottish wedding earlier this month he also helped his pal Jake Roche from Rixton propose on stage to his girlfriend Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson. Kodaline’s Jay Boland also proposed to his girlfriend Etaoin Corr on stage at the Lego House singer’s Croke Park gig, in Ireland, the same month.
