Is this their new favourite eatery?
The Grecian inspired restaurant, Gaia opened at DIFC, Dubai only three months ago with Chef Izu at its helm. However, it has quickly become a go-to stop for members of the Dubai Royal family, who were last spotted there yesterday.

HH Sheikh Hamdan has been spotted at another Dubai restaurant
None other than HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid, Ruler of Dubai, has been spotted leaving the DIFC eatery along with his son HH Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai. The restaurant’s Chef Izu took to Instagram to share the pictures of the Royals, which he captioned, “Great achievements remind us to be humble, but we should always be determined to do more.”

This is not the chef’s first establishment in Dubai, as he is part creator of three other Dubai eateries: Carine, The Lighthouse and Izu Brasserie. Gaia’s launch caught the media’s attention after local food critic Foodiva gave it a harsh review, to which Chef Izu responded to by banning the critic from the restaurant.
Sheikh Hamdan gave the Greek restaurant his seal of approval back in November, just five days after it opened. After his visit the Chef posted a cheeky picture of the Dubai Royal strangling him, as he sports a wide grin.

A few days after Sheikh Hamdan’s visit, his brother HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai went to the new spot for lunch.
