Godolphin have already landed their first winner…
One thing the ruling family of Dubai loves? It’s got to be horse racing, and you don’t need to be an expert in the field to know that Royal Ascot is one of the major dates on the calendar.
Well, the sporting event opened on Tuesday, and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was there with his family to celebrate.

Why Princess Haya is still battling to end world hunger
The Ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE was joined by his wife, HRH Princess Haya, his son, HH Sheikh Hamdan, and also by young Sheikha Al Jalila and Sheikh Zayed.
As a group they were beautifully turned out — and you’d want to be, too. HM Queen Elizabeth II was there, as were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
More on them in a moment, though. Let’s focus on our royals.
This has got to be one of our favourite photos of Princess Haya ever. Cuddled up with little Sheikh Zayed — who’s rocking that top hat, by the by — the royal looks relaxed, happy, and just lovely.
Ice blue is definitely her colour.
And by the looks of Sheikha Al Jalila’s fascinator, we’d say that runs in the family.
They also might have chosen to wear blue to support Godolphin. HH Sheikh Mohammed’s stables have already done well on the first day of Ascot, winning the King’s Stand Stakes.
We’ll keep you up to date with any other notable news from the Berkshire, England event as it emerges.
