It’s time to up your culture dose and get ahead of the crowd by booking your tickets to the Dubai Opera with tickets to its prestigious line up now on sale.
Dubai Opera is one of the most highly anticipated projects to open in the emirate this year. As the city’s first purpose-built multi-format performing arts theatre situated in the heart of Downtown Dubai, it will play host to some of the biggest shows in opera, ballet and musical theatre. The venue will open its doors on August 31, with the legendary tenor Placido Domingo being Dubai Opera’s opening act.
As well as classical opera, Dubai Opera’s programme of acts is rich and varied programme including performances The Barber of Seville by Rossini and The Pearl Fishers by Bizet. Also scheduled are The Russian State Ballet’s productions of Giselle and Coppelia.

Tickets for the acts are now on sale, and with the current hype surrounding the opera house, they are expected to sell out fast.
Depending on the show, tickets can start from as little at Dhs250, which will get you a place in the C Reserve section (in green). As ever in the UAE, there is an option to go premium, in front of the stage from Dhs850 a ticket, or VIP with box seats costing from Dhs6,800. Guys, if you want to impress, the box option is every woman’s dream Pretty Woman moment.
As well as bringing great entertainment to the region, Dubai Opera will also help boost Dubai’s economy, with Jasper Hope, the Chief Executive of Dubai Opera, saying: “I have no doubt that Dubai Opera will be a boost to the economy. It’s not just a cultural boost; it’s also economic as it’s about having people enjoy Dubai for longer. For example, they can visit the Burj Khalifa, enjoy a fine meal and enjoy an opera or the ballet.”
