If you live in Dubai Marina this announcement is going to hurt you the most – the all-popular Dubai Marina Yacht Club is closing down.

Don’t worry it won’t be happening straight away, but from January 2017 one of the Marina’s favourite hotspots for the past eight years is closing down and will be replaced by a new facility, which according to developer Emaar Properties will include a “world-class yacht club.”

Dubai Marina Yacht Club is one of of those local institutes that is busy all year round thanks to it’s premium views, generous ladies’ nights and upbeat Friday brunches, so the news has come as a shock to many residents.

Work on the replacement development, which will continue to provide marina-related services, will begin in the first quarter of 2017.
