Do it for the ‘gram.

It has to be said, Dubai is a social media enthusiast’s paradise. Sunshine, sand and the sea make for great set dressing – not to mention the city’s impressive architecture.

Spend a little bit of time on Instagram here, and you’ll notice a few key locations popping up again and again.

Hey, we’re not mad. The location tag has led us to some great food spots, and a lot of these shots are stunning.

JBR

We don’t care if you’re on the beach itself showing off your rig or on the promenade grabbing breakfast. What’s absolutely key when checking in at JBR is that you get Ain Dubai in there. Perfect form from the poster above.

Burj Khalifa

Whether you’re posting from the top or using the world’s tallest building as a backdrop, the chances are high the Burj Khalifa features on your Instagram in some form.

Extra points if you managed to include the Dubai Fountain too. Two birds, one stone.

Dubai Design District

I scream, you scream 🍦

One for the fashionistas among us. This is the ideal spot for an outfit post, and come Sole DXB, it’s an even more crowded field.

Side note: We’ve been known to browse this tag when we can’t decide what to wear. If you don’t know, now you know.

La Mer

Maybe you’re in it for the street art, maybe you’re at one of its photogenic dining options, or maybe the walkways are calling your name. Regardless, La Mer is a big deal on Instagram.

We’ve heard that actual queues form for a photo in the in-water hammocks on the weekends.

Al Qudra Lakes

A post shared by Omair Saadi (@omairsaadi) on

If you’re blessed enough to own a dog, there’s no way Al Qudra Lakes hasn’t featured on your page (though, as What’s On reports, it’s no longer allowed there).

Never mind. It’s still an absolutely gorgeous spot for a walk and a quick pic or two.

Madinat Jumeirah

Anyone who’s enjoyed a sundowner up at Folly knows how lovely the Madinat Jumeirah’s waterways look in the golden hour.

They’re pretty stunning regardless of the time of day, really.

City Walk

Another key area for your street style moment. Fresh juice essential.

Dubai Creek

To finish, let’s turn to the destination you hit when you want to show your followers that there’s another side to Dubai. It’s not all skyscrapers, and an abra ride across the creek will only cost you a dirham.
