Plus, five of the art works are sticking around.
If you love an optical illusion, there’s every chance you saw these in person. Last week, beachfront development La Mer played host to 3D art exhibition Dubai Canvas.
One of the first events of Dubai Arts Season, which runs until the end of April, Dubai Canvas saw international and local artists show off their skills.

HH Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, patron of the event, said the arts season was about spreading positivity.
“[The season aims] to transform the UAE into a global hub for diverse cultural activities [and] also to spread happiness through art and creativity,” Sheikha Latifa told the Dubai Media Office.
“The season also celebrates Dubai’s unique creative spirit that has fostered new ideas and innovations in every sphere of life.”
Well said. Here are a few of our favourite shots from Dubai Canvas…
While Dubai Canvas might have wrapped up, visitors to the Jumeirah 1 destination won’t be disappointed. Five murals are staying put, along with works like the one directly above from Tom Bob.

Very cool.
What’s next on the arts calendar, you ask? Art Dubai, of course, and you can read all about that here.
