The show must go on
Cirque de Soleil is set to stage its first ever show in Saudi Arabia this month.
The performance will take place in Riyadh on September 23 to coincide with the country’s national day.
More than 80 artists from the Montreal-based troupe will take to the stage at King Fahd International Stadium, which will be broadcast on Saudi state TV.
250 costumes have been specifically made to adhere to local traditions.
The Kingdom is currently in the midst of making fundamental changes to its entertainment sector. The country recently reopened movie theatres and allowed men and women to start attending some concerts together.
