The rapper is making money move
Bodak Yellow rapper Cardi B is set to make her silver screen debut in STXfilms’s Hustlers. She will star alongside a strong female lineup, which includes: songstress Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, 10 things I hate about you actress Julia Stiles, Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart and Constance Wu star of Crazy Rich Asians.
The film, which was originally titled as Hustlers at Scores, draws its inspiration from a New York Magazine article which was written by Jessica Pressler in 2016. The story will be set in the Big Apple, in the wake of the early 2000s financial crisis, and follows a group of club dancers who join forces to get their revenge on their Wall Street clients. JLo announced Cardi B and Constance Wu’s involvement in the film through her Instagram, in a post which she captioned, “It’s official! Constance Wu and Cardi B are joining me in @HustlersMovie – coming soon to theaters! 🖤#HustlersMovie.”

The 49-year-old Jenny from the block hitmaker will not only star in the film, but will also executive produce it. Hustlers will start filming this Friday, March 22 in New York. However, audiences should not confuse the film with another female led flick The Hustle, which stars Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, which will hit theatres on May 10.
