Brazil has produced some of the world’s sexiest women – from Ana Beatriz Barros to to Alessandra Ambrosio.
Brazil has produced some of the world’s sexiest women – from Camila Alves to Gisele Bundchen. So, if your goal involves looking great, there is plenty to learn from this sizzling starlet.
Here’s how to get Ana Beatriz’s bikini body…
Kicking off: She’s strutted the catwalk and been photographed for major brands all over the world, including Marks & Spencer, but Ana Beatriz is best known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel and her multiple appearances as an Swimsuit Illustrated model. And after achieving her goal of giving up smoking, she has got the ball rolling on a super-healthy future.
On the ball: Getting enough rest is the key to this Brazilian bombshell’s good looks. “I try to sleep as much as I can and I try to live a healthy life… I do eat healthy. A little bit of everything but in a healthy way,” she says. But she’s also ditched the cigarettes in a bid to clean up her act: “I stopped smoking for more than 25 days, after 12 years. For this, I went to a medical spa in Paraná to do a smoke-free detox, with exercises, massages, meals every three hours. I was already cutting down, but the spa made my body a real detox. I needed to quit smoking for my health and glowing skin,” she said, adding that it has paid off: “My skin has changed already! I have more energy. I want to always be well and healthy. Cigarettes are no good for living a long life.”
She tries to fit in a workout at least four times a week for at least one hour, and, along with her best pal Alessandra Ambrosio, works out with Leandro Carvalho to build up her butt without bulking up her legs. His secret? “I knew floor work with ankle weights and resistance bands would be very effective, so I put together ballet, capoeira, and afro-Brazilian dance to create a workout that worked the butt from different angles and reached every part of the three major muscles without bulking the thighs,” says Carvalho.
Scores for: Being much more than just a stunningly pretty face – Ana Beatriz spent time working with Al Gore on a project to save the Amazonian rainforests, and she’s also involved with a Down’s syndrome support charity in her home city of Itabira in Brazil.
