Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan has taken on a new role – getting more people to come to Dubai.
The actor stars in a just-released advert by the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing where he invites viewers to “come with me” as his guest around the city.
And the trailer turns out to be a mini Punk’d series, with Khan surprising unsuspecting fans as they go about their day.

From Skydive Dubai and Kite Beach to The Dubai Mall, the actor delights visitors around the city’s top attractions during the three-minute video.
Khan also takes part in some activities himself, with the star even jumping out of a plane in a tandem dive (that’s commitment to a role).
He also samples spices in a Deira souk, joins in on a volleyball game, and pretends to be a waiter in the clip – which has been viewed a staggering 5.3 million times in just a few days.
“Dubai offers endless experiences that stay with you forever. Whatever you want to do – an adrenaline-fuelled adventure like skydiving or a desert safari or a delicious culinary experience of tantalising flavours – and whether you’re travelling with family, friends or as a couple, this city truly offers a complete holiday experience,” Rukh said in a statement.
And he lives by his word – the actor even owns a home in Dubai, so you may actually spot him around the city if you’re lucky…
