Beauty Editor Samantha Hamilton-Rushforth gives you handy, quick-fix solutions to your beauty woes…

Q.) I’m not one for hitting the gym but id love to get a little bit leaner, is there a quick-fix cream I can use?

A.) There are definitely products on the market that have been proven to help tighten and tone the skin in order to give the appearance of a slimmer silhouette. Head down to The Dollhouse salon and take your pick from the Bliss range, which promises to squeeze you into shape without the sweat.

Q.) Even with an excessive amount of dry shampoo and hairspray my hair is falling flat in this weather, help!

A.)  If you want to create long-lasting volume you need to include volumizing hair products in every step of your routine. Start with the Rice & Wheat range from Kiehl’s before blow-drying your hair upside down, setting with hair spray and backcombing the roots – that should do the trick!

Q.) I’ve heard the Shu Uemura eyelash curler is the best on the market but I know its on the pricey side, is it worth the investment?

A.) It’s definitely a make-up pro favourite but a cheaper and just as effective alternative is the Eyeko curler, a favourite of Alexa Chung. Head down to Bloomingdale’s and, while you’re at it, check out their luxury liquid eyeliners and 60s-style mascara. You wont be disappointed.
