He has long supported the Palestinian cause
Street artist Banksy showed renewed support for Palestine at the London travel tourism conference this week. The British artist, who has successfully kept his identity anonymous for nearly 30 years despite his work gaining international fame, displayed a piece of political art supporting Palestine at the exhibition.

The painting depicts a replica separation barrier, which the artist said was in order to promote his Walled Off hotel, in Bethlehem. The hotel is described as an “art hotel” on its official website and includes installation work by several artists. While the name of the hotel reflects the fact that it is built directly opposite the politically charged Israeli military wall.

The artist also gave out ‘free Palestine’ posts at the event, the poster includes a call to “visit historic Palestine”.

Banksy has long supported the Palestinian cause, and has previously created multiple painting on the Israeli military wall in peaceful support of Palestine.
