What I do

I head strategic partnerships and communication for UN Women in the GCC. I always had a humanitarian mission at heart whether it was in the UN, the corporate world or in my everyday life.

My milestone moment

My first job at UNHCR. Being the only Arab woman to work in humanitarian operations in refugee camps in Sudan and Algeria at the time: facilitating the voluntary return of refugees and reuniting families separated by years of conflict. In Egypt and Tunisia, determining refugee status and supporting women survivors of violence and minors. At PepsiCo, becoming a Director, the youngest member of the region’s leadership team. Heading CSR and launching impactful sustainable development programs focused on: lighting homes in poor villages, preventing child labor and school dropouts through a ‘food for education’ program, providing university scholarships to students from low-income communities, creating awards and competitions to celebrate social innovators, women, and youth.
