Alexa Chung reprised her role as the face of Longchamp with a colourful fashion shoot showcasing their spring/summer 2015 collection. We have behind the scenes footage revealing the making of the incredible campaign…
Model, author, TV presenter and style icon, Alexa Chung has many strings to her bow but her latest as ambassador for Longchamp totally appeals to our fashionable desires.
Not only do we have the final campaign video to share with you, but we are also pleased to reveal the behind the scenes, showcasing how it was made. The film was shot by famed director Jean Francois Julian on the roof terrace at MAMO, Centre d’art de la Cité Radieuse, in Marseille, France, surrounded by works by major French artist Daniel Buren. A setting all the more fitting for Longchamp as it corresponds to the graphic feel of this spring’s new collection. The other important element highlighted is colour – a Longchamp hallmark – reflecting the luxury house’s optimism.
Alexa Chung, who is the face of Longchamp for the third consecutive season, embodies the Longchamp woman, who is dynamic, urban, and cosmopolitan, in step with her time. Longchamp is a global brand and this theme showcases the world of fine leather goods, as well as ready-to-wear and shoes.
The star of the shoot, aside from the British It girl, is the Le Pliage Héritage bag, which combines a contemporary style with traditional craftsmanship in homage to the legendary Le Pliage bag. It reflects the house’s tradition of excellence. The campaign reveals a new mini-version in bold, dynamic colours. Its graphic silhouette and refined leather come in electric blue or bright coral: streamlined sophistication in concentrated form.
