According to Hilde the jump was “the last thing on [her] bucket list”. The South African retiree said that she had previously traveled on multiple occasions to the UAE, to visit family, and was fascinated with the skydivers she had seen in Dubai.

“I would watch [the] skydivers in the sky… It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” she said.

This November she finally got her chance, travelling to Dubai, and being met with perfect weather conditions for the jump. Not for the faint hearted the tandem jump which Hilde did takes place at 13,000 ft from a moving plane.

” The highlight for me was just being able to sail along, looking at the Palm from above. It was wonderful,” she continued.

It just proves, its never too late to follow your dreams.
